Mary J. Blige, Bono and more, perform at inauguration kick-off!

As we get closer to next week, more and more details are coming out about the events taking place during this momentous occasion. The official kick-off event titled: “We Are One: The Obama Inaugural Celebration at the Lincoln Memorial” is a free event taking place on the 19th and will also air on HBO. Tons of huge performers from different genres and generations are scheduled to perform including Beyonce, Usher, Stevie Wonder, Garth Brooks, Bono, John Legend, and Herbie Hancock just to name a few. Denzel Washington, Queen Latifah, Jamie Foxx, and Martin Luther King III are set to give historical readings as well.

This kick-off is just the beginning of a four-day schedule of various balls, concerts, and ceremonies that will encompass the entire Inauguration experience.
