Site Spotlight: Ice Cream Melts

Some may say this is the age of blogging since everyone seems to have one. To me, beneath that surface is simply a voice, the wanting to tell a story. Be it something inspiring, random, or just to vent how you feel about a particular subject or experience. Enter icecreammelts.com, a universal, user-generated blog that allows people to log in and share their own experiences, all with the intention to uplift and inspire those who read them. Ice Cream Melts carries the same name as the book of poetry released in 2007 by author Nnamdi G. Osuagwu who also created the site. A little snip from the books description

“…The collection[of modern poetry] does more than just stating the obvious pitfalls of present-day living. It shows there is inspiration to be found in the acceptance that we are only human and that, in the end, ice cream does melt.”

Hit up the site ASAP, share an experience or two, and also be sure to check out the book!

Also from Nnamdi, is an ebookumentary created for his mom about the entire Inauguration 2009 experience since she was unable to attend herself. It does however, require a special download and is available for sale on the site as well.

I really love books and magazines. Vogue, GQ, fiction, autobiographies, and even books for dummies. I love them all. I sometimes find myself in Barnes and Noble for hours just browsing through the aisles. I end up sitting at a table with a dozen books...
