Strapped Up And Ready To Go: Nike Air Yeezy And So On…

If you’re reading this, its safe to assume that your eyes are open. So that means you should be able to see that there seems to be a recent trend in footwear lately. It’s actually more of a reintroduction of a particular style. More and more brands are adding a strap of some sort to their footwear. At one point in the past, straps were only seen on basketball sneakers and cross trainers. This is no longer the case. Brands like Common Projects, Calvin Klein, Raf Simons, and Converse have been releasing some very smooth pairs of footwear that require little to no lacing at all for you lazy people out there who just like to get up and go. I personally am a very big fan of a good high top sneaker with straps but some of these brands have managed to crank out good looking low top sneakers that are strapped up as well. My favorite out of the bunch is the Nike Air Yeezy. By now, the hype surrounding these sneakers has made its way into a conversation you’ve had recently especially if it was with me. Kanye West’s signature Nike sneaker is scheduled to release in just a few hours folks. Yes that’s correct. Today. If you don’t have an idea of exactly how much hoopla there is for these sneakers let me paint you a picture even though I usually just snap em with my Canon. They are probably going to retail for about $200 but a pair sold on EBay for $1000 a few days ago. Common Wealth, a D.C. sneaker boutique, is not having a normal release of the Air Yeezy’s. They are raffling off chances to buy them. And Major, another D.C. boutique, is only getting one pair of each size and they are instructing people to come to the store at 9:30AM today to bid on pairs and the person with the most money will walk away with their very own pair of Yeezy’s. I don’t know about you, but if I can’t acquire a pair with ease and with the minimum amount of money required, my funds will be going towards another lens for my camera. Pick your passion wisely…

I'm such an idiot! It never crossed my mind to purchase these joints, and resell them on Ebay. I wouldnt wear these cuz everyone will have 'em. Those Louis' I'd cop if money wasn't such an issue right now. Rather have that dough in the bank than on my feet!
