Common Projects – Hi Top Training Boots
If you know me personally, or have read my footwear posts, you know I love hi-tops. The majority of what I rock (outside of dress shoes) come above my ankles. Common Projects usually don’t disappoint with the simplicity of their aesthetic, and these fall right in line. I kinda wish they came in more colors though. The burgundy or navy they usually do would look dope. What do ya’ll think?

I love a woman in a nice pair of heels. I know they aren’t the most comfortable choice of footwear so I can always appreciate when women wear them all day and night.

Down Jacket Chuck T’s
These patent leather quilted chuck t’s were made reminiscent of the puffy down jackets we all rocked, and still rock sometimes, during the bitter cold winter months. I wonder if these joints actually keep your foot warmer, cause Lord knows those thin Converse’s are far from insulated. LOL They barely have enough fabric to keep your ankles straight. Nixon 2009 Elite Ceramic Collection
Nixon has always brought heat, but they’ve been coming hard these past couple months. Peep the latest renditions of the 51-30 divers watch and the Player, but made entirely out of ceramic. I think I’m feeling the white Player the most. via HighSnobiety

Opening Ceremony X Pendleton
Opening Ceremony and Pendleton have a classic collaboration on their hands!!! These may not be the most practical pieces but they are perfect for the bold and the brave, such as myself. One of my favorite female urban brands is ,yet again, releasing a very strong line of clothing for Fall 2009. And who better to use as a model, than Star Trak’s own , Teyana Taylor? Blue is my favorite color and I’ve been respecting Lanvin’s hustle ever since they dove into the footwear game a while back. Wearability aside, I’m not mad at these at all… except for maybe the price tag, which is someone’s share of the rent. LOL, smh…

The Brooklyn Circus X G-Shock
They’ve done it again folks!!! Not just BKc, but the folks at G-Shock have put together yet another successful collaboration. Things like this make you forget about our depressing economy. And then you are reminded as soon as you go to purchase it. Only 200 of these are available to the general public and you can only get them at the three BKc locations throughout Brooklyn, San Francisco, and Chicago. The release date is this Friday, July 31st!!

Straight From The Source: Dana on Rugby RL Fall Collection
When it comes to the fall season, what more can you ask for than cool air, crisp leaves, and longer nights (for you party animals). Well, duh… fly clothes of course! Fall, in my opinion, is the best season for dressing. It’s cool enough to put together some awesome pieces, but not so cold that you have to cover them all up! The Fall 2009 collection at Rugby Ralph Lauren features great layering pieces with that old school preppy feel. Their classic cricket stripe blazers and shorts are the perfect staples for any wardrobe, and the new oxfords and rugbys, in the perfect fall color — burgundy — make great compliments. You ladies can expect a slimmer, sexier fit this year (yayy!) and the gentlemen can expect some very smooth pieces that capture the true essence of Rugby. If Only My Feet Were Smaller…
So, as I perused the essentials of cool, better known as blog surfing, I came across some of the most beautiful women’s boots ever. Ironically enough, I was on LateBoots when I found them. They are pretty much the women’s version of a Polo Ranger Boot and high top Sperry. O.M.G. I wish my feet were smaller or at least that designers would make a women’s size 15 in shoes like this!!! Check out these Balenciaga Black Flat Quilted Ankle Boots and let me know what you think. Greatness in my opinion.
