Santos Party House has the most fitting name of any night life entity I have ever come across…It is truly a PARTY HOUSE. And in this house, you can find some of the greatest and coolest musical talent to date. From live performances, to guest DJ’s, Santos is the place to be in NYC. A new addition to the Party House inhabitants is world renowned music producer Just Blaze. He’s got a lot more time on his hands now that Baseline Studios is closed so his Friday nights will be spent on the turntables at Santos Party House. I recently ran into him at 105 Rivington and he’s a pretty cool cat so you will catch me in the building. Be there! You might just get to hear the latest Just Blaze produced track “Exhibit C” by Jay Electronica.

Because it’s Restaurant Week in NYC!!! Well, in all actuality, it isn’t really a week. The city wide extravaganza for all us “foodies” starts tomorrow, January 25th, and ends on February 7th. But wait, there’s more. Select restaurants are actually extending their participation all the way through February 28th! Some of you may be wondering, “What the hell is Restaurant Week and how do I get there?” And to that I say, “Good question.” Restaurant Week (RW) is an amazing opportunity for people to visit a large selection of participating establishments and eat for only a fraction of the normal prices. It’s a time to try new restaurants, especially the ones that may normally be out of your budget. But this year, NYC Restaurant Week is better than ever. Not only because of the fact that some restaurants are extending their dates, but also because of the Restaurant Week Truck. NYC is big on food trucks and stands so it’s only right that there are soups from 24 of NYC’s best restaurants riding around the city. If you decide to participate in this years RW, which you should, hit us up so we can know where the best food is. We can make a shindig out of it and have some fun! If you have never attended a Brooklyn Circus event, I have no clue what you’ve been doing with your life but you will have the opportunity to redeem yourself very soon. I went to the BKc book release party over the Summer and it was by far one of the best events I’ve ever been to. The crowd is highly fashionable but not too cool to dance and truly have a good time. Just picture a room full of some of the best dressed people you’ve ever seen, flowing drinks, and the best selection of music in town blasting from all sides. Yep. That’s a Brooklyn Circus party for ya. This Saturday, December 19th, they will be throwing their FIRST annual holiday party in the Dumbo section of Brooklyn. The venue, No. 1 Front St., is a massive club space with multiple levels and bars located throughout. I’ve already attended 2 parties here and it is surely a place that I’ve been eager to revisit. Sooooo ….That’s what I’m doing this Saturday. What are YOU doing??? Get that outfit ready and meet me there. This year is flying by so quickly that it just dawned on me; it’s already October!!! The holiday season is rolling around and so many big things happen at this time of year. This is usually a great time in the world of music because a lot of highly anticipated albums drop. When albums release, tours come about. My guess is that this is what has led one of the most talented male artists to ever grace the mic, to Washington D.C. That’s right folks. Maxwell is performing live at the Verizon Center tonight at 7:30pm. I know it’s short notice but if you can’t catch this concert, there are other tour dates!! Oh wait. Maxwell will also be at Ibiza Nightclub with a live band after the concert and you can get tickets here. If you aren’t in NYC with me at Overfab’s Santos debut, this is the move for you. Truth be told, you SHOULD be in NYC rocking with Overfab, but to each his own. Have fun tonight!!!

It’s that time. Overfab is ready to shut it down like you’ve never seen her before. I’m sure most of you remember her video that ended up making its round all over the internet, even getting attention from Jay-Z himself. Peep it below for a refresher. This Friday, October 2nd it goes down at Santos’ Party House from 7-10pm. Door admission is $10 but reduced to $5 if you RSVP to soundcheck@santospartyhouse.com. She’ll be doing some new joints that you haven’t heard before so you should DEFINITELY be in attendance.

Thousands of people in NYC celebrated MJ’s birthday at the Nokia Theater in New York City on saturday night. Hosted by Q-Tip, Mark Ronson and DJ Spinna it was an all night event of non-stop Jackson hits from each era of his life. Special never before heard master-mixes layed the soundtrack to the most poppin party in the city. We took lots of flicks and video for you guys to enjoy but for now here’s a little video of a special part of the night when Q-Tip called up Quincy Jones himself to speak to all the adoring MJ fans that came out on that special night.

The site is now a year old. Matt just turned 23. I’m turning 23 on Monday, August 31st. This is all fact. Knowing all this, don’t you think a celebration is in order? Because we do!!! Monday night is going to be all things M&N and we are celebrating all night in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. We are starting at Stanton Social at 10pm for drinks and food (they have amazing wings) and then we are making our way over to 105 Riv at 12am to dance through the night and celebrate life and prosperity!!! Come out and have a great time with us as we party with friends and family. It’s a celebration!!! Did I mention that entry is free to both places??!!! It’s a recession proof celebration!!!
