A Night with the Brooklyn Cyclones
I’m not really a baseball fan, but when VIP suite tickets came my way via one of my illest most reliable connects(mom-dukes, lol) I couldn’t pass up the opportunity. There were endless hot dogs, sodas, and other stadium food, as well as a perfect view of the field. There was an indoor room with seating as well so we we’re all good just incase it rained, even though I’m glad it didn’t.

M. Night Shyamalan’s Dope Homepage
Known for his method of storytelling and cinematography, it’s no wonder that Shyamalan’s website comes across so well. Modeled in 3D and coded in Flash, the user is thrust into a mysterious world of sorts with a mix of items to interact with. Aside from how well it looks, I especially like HOW you have to interact with some objects, like chairs you have to drag across the floor, or paintings you have to knock off the wall by swiping your cursor at the right speed. It’s not all just scroll and click, which adds to the dimension. It also won a Favourite Website Award, and an Adobe Site of the Day Award, which isn’t bad at all. Take a look when you have some time to really sit and explore it.

Michael Jackson Tribute #2: Rare Beat It Interview
Check out this interview that Tom Joyner did with MJ on the set of Beat It. It’s an intimate view of the superstar that we rarely get to see. It’s a little sad to watch, actually. Especially the part where he talks about friendship, or the lack thereof. P.S. — The mirror aviators are crazy dope, lol.

Trick Luggage
Check out this luggage made to look like a deadly weapon is being stored inside it. I think it’s a funny idea in general but definitely don’t think it’s a smart idea for travelling anywhere besides on foot or in your own car. I could only imagine the field day that would result at the airport from someone trying to get through security with one of these.

I’m Varsity Chump…You’re J.V.
Ok…There’s no other way to say it. The weather has been ridiculous lately. Some days you can’t leave the house without wearing gloves, a scarf, and greasing up with Vaseline so that your hands don’t look like they smoke crack. Other days, if you leave the house in more than a tee, linen underwear and jeans, you’re bound to sweat a few pounds off. This sporadic weather has been the cause of colds, under/overdressing, and under arm stains. But it has also been the cause of fashion triumph if you know what you’re doing. On a day like today when it was damn near 60 degrees, a smooth varsity jacket was surely in order with a fresh fit. You can actually even wear them on days when the weather isn’t so kind if your layering is on point. Brands like, but not limited to, Alife, Supreme, and The Brooklyn Circus currently have some pretty dope varsity jackets out right now. Do your research and find one that works for you or create one from scratch at custom sites like Web Jacket. Check out the collage with some current jackets on the market. The Wait Is Over!!!
Well…Sort of. If you’re extra thirsty like I am than yeah. It’s over. But for most, December 26th will be a glorious day. Not as glorious as the preceding day of course but glorious nontheless. Two classic pairs of sneakers will be released yet again in one beautiful (but expensive) package. I’m talking about the “Bred” Jordan Retro XI’s and the “Taxi” XII’s!! This is by far the best out of all the packages released because it contains the greatest sneaker ever to exist; the black and red XI’s. Anyone who has owned a pair knows exactly what I’m talking about. Those thick laces, that gleaming patent leather, and that vibrant red all combine to make the sexiest shoe you will ever wear. Don’t get me wrong though, for I am and will forever be on my grown man shoe and boot game. But when classics drop consider them copped times three. One for me. And two for my kids. And Erica Simone is looking familiar!! Photography is not just a great art form; it’s a movement. Photographer Erica Simone is surely a voice of this movement from what I’ve seen. I came across her work just be doing my daily blogging and checking out some of the favorites columns on different blogs so I don’t know much about her. I do know that her work is amazing and that she is heavily involved with the Butch Diva label and does all their major photography. Real Talk With Young Ty Pt. 2
I missed this last week and I know its old by now but can somebody tell me what the fuck they putting in the water in NY?! In that same breath tell me why the fuck three ignorant ass teenage QUEENS boys was caught IN THE SEWER last week playing TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES?!! This has to be a sign that people have lost they damn minds! The news story says they were shiftless and in their shorts, crawling around the sewer system when they got confused and lost their way… WOW.
And what’s up with these chicks on myspace and facebook giving me they phone numbers? Seriously, if u gave me your number, u more than likely give your number to just about anybody u feeling and want to call you… No thanks. One, u probably NOT attractive to me. Two, I don’t let people have my number cause I get 150 phone calls a hour as it is. And three, if I called every number I get, how would I have time to call YOU? Â So when I be nice and say I don’t want your number, FALL BACK!! And some of you chicks are feeling yourselves wayyyy too much!! You aint that hot! U aint no princess, no fucking queen, or none of that bullshit ya believe yall are.. Check ya fucking bloodlines…………. exactly. You got a family tree of RN’s (REGULAR NIGGAS!).
Anyway, I love my ladies… Ladies I love you… But please don’t get DUMPED for listening to that Beyonce song and thinkin “cause we like it we should put a ring on it.” Ladies I beg you!! PLEASE!! The G.O.A.T.
The title is referring to Jay-Z, the greatest rapper to ever do it (in my humble opinion that is). He’s global. He’s a mogul. 50,000 feet in the air and he’s still on his mobile!!! You put him any where on God’s green earth, i bet you he’ll triple his worth. Ok ok enough with the Jay lines. He really is a great man though. I’ve had the pleasure of seeing him in concert a few times and his swag is through the roof. He’s a showman, a gentleman, and he’s just so damn cool. He has really managed to become the definition of “ghetto chic”. How many rappers do you know that give props to Biggie and Gwyneth Paltrow in the same instance? There was recently a documentary on Jay that aired on BBC. BBC!!! “International…Ask for me…I aint never scared…I’m EVERYWHERE. You aint never there!” The documentary is titled “He came, He saw, He conquered”. It’s an amazing recap of some of the highest points in his life and it features people like Diddy, Will Smith, Bleek, and of course, the man himself. It’s divided into six parts so check out the first part here on the site and the rest can be found by navigating through the windows provided after the video since its on youtube. Ya dig? Cool…I hope you all enjoy this as much as I did.
