Up and Coming
Who better to speak on Black History, than some young Black entrepreneurs like that of The Brooklyn Circus and LateBoots? M&N recently linked up with Bev, Colin, and Sham to kick off our Black History Month Project.
“Make Black History Every Day…I Don’t Need A Month…”
That’s what Kanye said, anyway. I personally agree with him though. It is Black History month, but as quick as it began, is as quick as it ends. Hence, this post. Black History is ongoing. Regardless of the fact that the month is coming to a close, we have to keep the history going within ourselves.

The Art Will Be Televised: Creative Control TV
At the end of 2009, one of the illest, most artistic websites I’ve ever seen was launched. Manned by directors Coodie and Chike, as well as former CEO of Roc-a-Fella Records, Dame Dash, Creative Control brings something brand new to the table.

Blake Carrington Feat. O-Sound – Give Me My Yeezy’s!
This is a hilarious song over the Heartless beat. At first I thought it was gonna be just a verse but they re-did the whole song, chorus, bridge and all. I’m feelin it, and the lyrics are pure comedy. Good work from these two, lol.

Site Spotlight: Ice Cream Melts
Some may say this is the age of blogging since everyone seems to have one. To me, beneath that surface is simply a voice, the wanting to tell a story. Be it something inspiring, random, or just to vent how you feel about a particular subject or experience. Enter icecreammelts.com, a universal, user-generated blog that allows people to log in and share their own experiences, all with the intention to uplift and inspire those who read them. Ice Cream Melts carries the same name as the book of poetry released in 2007 by author Nnamdi G. Osuagwu who also created the site. A little snip from the books description
“…The collection[of modern poetry] does more than just stating the obvious pitfalls of present-day living. It shows there is inspiration to be found in the acceptance that we are only human and that, in the end, ice cream does melt.”
Hit up the site ASAP, share an experience or two, and also be sure to check out the book!
Also from Nnamdi, is an ebookumentary created for his mom about the entire Inauguration 2009 experience since she was unable to attend herself. It does however, require a special download and is available for sale on the site as well.
