More Than A Month
As you may know (and quite frankly should know), February is Black History Month. For many, today is the last day, but for me, Black history is something I strive to be a part of on a daily basis. It is a goal, a means to an end, and much more than a month. I remember having to  do dreaded book reports in elementary school on people like Harriet Tubman and Dr. Martin Luther King. The best part of those reports was doing the research to learn about these great people that paved the way for me and their endless struggle to ultimately make my life easier. Today, Black History encompasses a much wider array of names for me which include Jay-Z, Denzel Washington, Will Smith, James Brown, and of course the one and only President Barack Obama. I’ve created a collage of a few influential African Americans to share with you all but please believe there are many more on my list and many more in the making. Peace and Love folks. ~~~~”Make Black history every day. I don’t need a month!”–Kanye West
