Get ready for the one and only printed piece that has been officially authorized by the King of Pop’s estate. The Opus will feature 400 pages of never before seen photographs and anecdotes from those that knew the great MJ personally. It’ll come in a silk covered clamshell case, with a pair of white gloves that you should wear while viewing to protect the pages. There will NOT be a second run print of this so you should order as early as possible, if you want it. As a SOLID MJ fan, I think i’m gonna splurge on this. Pre-orders are being taken now for $165, which may sound steep, but after October 27th that’ll go up to $330, which is OD to me, lol. It releases on December 7th and whomever pre-orders will have a guaranteed delivery date before Christmas.

Matthew’s birthday just passed a few days ago, and my birthday is on Monday. And then it’s Labor Day weeknd which is the birthday of the website!!! We love to party and have a great time on normal days so how could we not turn this next week in to a celebration of life and prosperity?? In a previous post, I informed you of the MJ birthday celebration going down tomorrow night at the Nokia Theatre. M&N WILL be in the building. If you want to join the festivities, please buy your tickets here and come out. It’s a joint celebration for us and any other Virgo’s and Leo’s and we want all our friends and supporters to enjoy the night with us. But there’s more!! Prior to this event, Spike Lee is throwing a HUGE party in Prospect Park, right here in Brooklyn, for Michael Jackson as somewhat of a prelude to the Nokia Theatre. We will be there taking photos and video of the whole thing and apparently, despite the weather, the show will go on!!!

While doing my daily blog surfing recently, I stumbled upon a post on Kanye’s blog pertaining to some photographs of Picasso drawing with light. Immediately, a light bulb (no pun intended turned on in my head and I came up with this idea for my own Michael Jackson tribute. This will be only the 1st of many MJ photos you see from me. R.I.P. Check out this interview that Tom Joyner did with MJ on the set of Beat It. It’s an intimate view of the superstar that we rarely get to see. It’s a little sad to watch, actually. Especially the part where he talks about friendship, or the lack thereof. P.S. — The mirror aviators are crazy dope, lol.

I don’t even have to explain the impact that Michael Jackson had on not only the music industry but the world in general. Even if I tried to, I’m sure there aren’t words that could truly suffice, so I’ll keep it brief. Showing extreme talent pretty much since the day he was born, he’s one of the truest examples of what it means to be placed on earth for a specific purpose. He’s reached levels in his career that other artists can only dream of, broken racial barriers to become the epitome of an icon, and raised awareness about things happening around the world through music.Â
You would’ve actually thought I was related to him the way I felt when I first heard the news of his death. My heart truly goes out to the family.Â
This is a clip of early Michael Jackson during the Jackson 5 years. Skip to like 45 secs for the actual singing
Who sings like this at 9 years old? Unparalleled talent at it’s best.
R.I.P to Michael Joseph Jackson.
