Thousands of people in NYC celebrated MJ’s birthday at the Nokia Theater in New York City on saturday night. Hosted by Q-Tip, Mark Ronson and DJ Spinna it was an all night event of non-stop Jackson hits from each era of his life. Special never before heard master-mixes layed the soundtrack to the most poppin party in the city. We took lots of flicks and video for you guys to enjoy but for now here’s a little video of a special part of the night when Q-Tip called up Quincy Jones himself to speak to all the adoring MJ fans that came out on that special night.

It’s been almost two months since the passing of music icon, Michael Jackson, but it still feels like it just happened yesterday. Between all the artistic tributes and parties, it is clear that he is gone…..But not forgotten.  I’m glad to see that people are celebrating his life and not mourning his death as we all did initially.
